What this site sells

Nothing is sold through a checkout on this site. Launch Loop, for US software and AI startups, is agreed on a call and in a written agreement, as described below, before any charge. The offers in Spanish are for businesses in Guatemala and are governed by the Spanish-language términos y condiciones.

Work for US clients

Work for a client in the United States, including Launch Loop and custom projects, is quoted in writing, in US dollars, with its own agreement. That agreement will spell out the scope, the total price, what you own when the work is done, and how refunds work.

The written agreement or payment link will show these terms, including the arbitration agreement, right next to the button you use to accept.

If that agreement includes a recurring charge, you'll see the amount, frequency and cancellation steps before you pay, you'll agree to the recurring charge separately, and you'll be able to cancel online as easily as you signed up. I'll also notify you 30 days before any price change and send a yearly reminder.

Using this site

The text, images, videos, demos and design on this site belong to Schmidt Scales or are used with permission. You're welcome to view them and share links. Ask me before copying or reusing them.

Don't try to access systems without permission, tamper with or scrape the demos or their data, upload malicious code, or collect other people's information.

Testimonials and reviews

I don't publish testimonials today. Any future testimonial will come from a real client, with written permission, and will say if they got anything in return. Another client's results don't promise yours.

You're free to review my work anywhere, good or bad. Nothing in these terms limits that.

Messages

I only send marketing messages with your consent. Reply STOP and they end. Details are in the privacy notice.

Limits on liability

This site and its demos are provided for information. To the extent the law allows, I'm not liable for indirect or consequential losses from using the site. This doesn't limit liability that can't be limited by law, including for fraud or gross negligence.

Governing law and disputes

For customers in Guatemala, Guatemalan law and Guatemalan courts apply, without taking away their consumer protection rights.

For customers in the United States, the arbitration agreement below applies.

THIS AGREEMENT INCLUDES AN ARBITRATION AGREEMENT

• Disputes are resolved by arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under the Federal Arbitration Act. If you hire me as an individual, the AAA Consumer Arbitration Rules apply; if you hire me as a business, its Commercial Arbitration Rules apply.
• The arbitration takes place in the county where you live or where your business has its main office. If we both agree, it can happen by video or on documents alone.
• If you're an individual, you pay no more than the filing fee set by the AAA Consumer Rules. I pay the rest of the AAA's and the arbitrator's fees.
• The arbitrator applies any consumer protection law of your state that can't be waived.
• Claims are resolved individually, not as a class action.
• Either of us can take a claim to small claims court if it qualifies.
• Nothing here waives your right to ask a court for public injunctive relief where your state's law allows it. That request goes to court.
• You can opt out of this arbitration agreement by telling me on WhatsApp within 30 days of accepting it. If you do, disputes go to the courts of the county where you live or where your business is based.

Accessibility

This site aims to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. If something doesn't work with your screen reader, keyboard or other tools, message me on WhatsApp. I'll get you the information another way and fix the problem.

Changes to these terms

If I change these terms, I'll post the new version here with a new effective date. Changes don't apply to work you've already paid for.

Language

If the English and Spanish versions differ, the Spanish version controls for customers in Guatemala and this English version controls for everyone else.
